Fargo voters will go to the polls December 5th to decide whether to increase the local sales tax a quarter percent to pay for expansion and renovation of the FARGODOME.
The city commission set the date on Tuesday to add exhibition and conference space to the building. In addition to the sales tax hike a 3% lodging tax would be a part of the funding plan. Both taxes would be in place for 20 years. The cost of the project exceeds $130 million dollars.
A 60% voter majority would be needed for passage.
