 A 32-year-old St. Cloud-area lawmaker will plead guilty to a D-W-I charge.

D-F-L Representative Dan Wolgamott was charged Aug. 7th with two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree DWI …and DWI-operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or higher.

His level was .099

According to an agreement filed in Kanabec County District Court, Wolgamott will plead guilty to the second charge … and the first count will be dismissed.

Wolgamott is asking for a sentence of 45 days in jail — stayed for two years — meaning he won’t spend the time behind bars, unless he violates the terms of his probation. He must also pay a $400 fine.

Wolgamott said: “I take full responsibility and accept the consequences of my actions.”
