A 19-year old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle in Bemidji Tuesday night.
According to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Department the victim was with a group of bikers who were exceeding the speed limit. As a deputy tried to perform a traffic stop only one motorcycle was still visible. The motorcycle was observed traveling in excess of 100 mph. The deputy lost sight of the rider as it approached a roundabout.
A short time later deputies located the driver in a grassy area. The 19-year old victim was identified as Tristan Secor of Bemidji. Secor was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Minnesota State Patrol is handling the investigation.
