Fargo PD: Last wounded officer leaves hospital (Update)

The last hospitalized Fargo Police officer – wounded in a July 14th shooting – is out of the hospital.

Officer Tyler Hawes on Monday got out of a wheelchair and made his way out of Fargo Sanford Hospital.

Hawes left two days after another wounded officer, Andrew Dotas, was released from the same facility.

Hawes and Dotas were wounded when Mohamad Barakat opened fire on them as they responded to a traffic accident.

Officer Jake Wallin was killed in the shooting…and a bystander was wounded before Officer Zach Robinson shot and killed Barakat

Fargo police say their last officer hospitalized as a result of a July 14th shooting, Officer Tyler Hawes, is expected to be released from the hospital today (Mon).

Hawes and fellow officer Andrew Dotas were both wounded when Mohamad Barakat opened fire on them as they responded to a traffic crash.

Dotas left the hospital on Saturday.

Officer Jake Wallin was killed in the incident …and a bystander was wounded before a fourth officer shot and killed Barakat.
