Police in Duluth (MN) have arrested two men following two Wednesday shooting incidents in which one man died, and another was wounded.
The first shooting occurred at about 1:30 PM Wednesday. A 19-year-old man was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. A wounded 18-year-old man went to a hospital via private vehicle. Police say he is expected to survive.
A half-hour later, police responded to a separate shooting about a mile away. No victims were located, but police believe it was a “retaliation” shooting stemming from the first incident.
After an investigation, officers arrested 21-year-old Sanussi Bangoura and 25-year-old Brandon Willliams-Gillard for first degree assault and second degree homicide.
Williams-Gillard was also arrested for a violation of his supervised release.
Police believe the parties knew each other from a previous argument.
