Valley City police are working to identify a body found in the Sheyenne River on Monday. Authorities were called to the river just after noon to recover a male victim in the water. Water rescue teams were able to recover the individual a short time later. The victim is described as a white male…30-40 years old…dark short hair and a beard…5’8” to 5’10” inches weighing around 200 pounds. No visible tattoos. The subject was wearing blue jeans and socks only.
