
A Fargo man has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison after pleading guilty to three of six felony charges in connection with a Grand Forks shooting incident in 2022.
Twenty-year-old Omar Deronjic was accused of shooting and wounding a person last July. The person was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deronjic pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, terrorizing with a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment – all Class C felonies.
Three other charges, including Class A felony attempted murder, were dismissed.
Upon release, Deronjic must serve two years’ supervised probation.
