The Grand Forks School District held the third of four planned community meetings last night (Wednesday) at Valley Middle School to talk about the May 16th referendum.
Voters will go to the polls to decide a $55 million dollar new Valley Middle School project…a $6 million dollar central kitchen…and $18 million for safety and security improvements at all schools.
Absentee voting is currently underway. At last check Grand Forks County has received 70 requests for absentee ballots – with 38 being returned. Election Day voting will take place at the Alerus Center.
It’s estimated the $79 million dollar package would cost the owner of a $100,000 dollar home around $96.93 cents.
Another community forum is scheduled May 11th at Central High School.
