A three vehicle crash in Grand Forks Sunday night resulted in the arrest of a 31-year old Grand Forks man.
Grand Forks Police report Shawn Schweigert was attempting to make a turn at the intersection of DeMers and North Washington around 8:45 p.m. and struck a car in the turn lane. The collision pushed that vehicle into another car next to it.
Schweigert was transported to Altru Hospital with minor injuries. One of the other two drivers was treated at the scene.
After being treated at Altru Schweigert was arrested on several drug related offenses and brought to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
The accident remains under investigation.
