This weekend marks the return of the 33rd Annual Jr. Grand Am Youth Basketball Tournament in Grand Forks.
Games begin today and run through Sunday at seven venue sites including: the Alerus Center, Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, Choice Health and Fitness, South Middle School, Red River and Central High Schools and the UND Wellness Center.
The tournament brings thousands of athletes, coaches and fans and is one of the largest athletic events in Grand Forks. Julie Rygg of the Greater Grand Forks C-V-B is projecting a direct spending impact (direct costs) of $3.2 million and economic impact (indirect and induced costs) of $4.7 million for the 2023 event.
