The Gate City Bank Home Improvement Partnership Loan Program is expanding into East Grand Forks.
Bank officials presented the city with a giant ceremonial check last night as they briefed the council on the merits of the low interest loan program that encourages residents to upgrade their homes.
Becky Mindeman with Gate City says the program has been around since 2005 throughout North Dakota and central Minnesota.
Economic Development Director Paul Gorte says loans up to $100,000 dollars are offered at interest rates as low as 3%.
