GFPH to end COVID testing site

By Doug Barrett Feb 27, 2023 | 12:56 PM

Three years into the pandemic the Grand Forks Public Health Community COVID-19 testing site at UND’s Fritz Pollard Athletic Center is closing on March 10th.

Emergency Preparedness and Response Coordinator Marcus Lee says testing remains accessible through home test kits as well as local healthcare providers and pharmacies.  GFPH continues to provide free at home COVID-19 test kits to the public.

President Joe Biden announced last month that he will end the twin national emergencies for addressing COVID-19 on May 11, as most of the world has returned closer to normalcy.

Since 2020 the North Dakota Health Department has confirmed over 286,000 cases of COVID-19.
