Grand Sky is moving forward with design plans on extending the runway 22 hundred feet to the west in order to handle increased demand and expansion at the drone park. The Grand Forks County Commission this week agreed to tap $600,000 dollars in allocated funds to help with the design work.
The project also included additional storm water management… roads…and water lines to serve the area. The goal is have construction packages ready to bid by the end of June. The project would take two years to complete.
In addition $100,000 dollars would be spent on connecting an electrical station to the GFAFB.
