A fire caused moderate damage to a garage near Gentilly (MN) on Friday.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Department and members of the Crookston Fire Department responded to the call around 2:30 p.m. The garage was attached to a home owned by 82-year old Duane Spear.
Spear reported that an unknown Good Samaritan stopped and helped pull a burning skid-steer out of the garage with their pickup to avoid further damage to the structure. The individual had left prior to first responders arriving on the scene. It’s believed the fire was caused by a mechanical issue with the loader.
There no injuries. No other information was released.
