It’s back…..another tax filing season officially kicks off today (Monday).
North Dakota Tax Commissioner Brian Kroshus says the 2023 individual income tax date matches the opening for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
North Dakota Tax Department processed over 474,000 North Dakota individual income tax returns last year. In 2022 some 92 percent of North Dakotans filed their individual income tax returns electronically.
The 2021 North Dakota Legislature created a tax relief income tax credit for residents of North Dakota. Full-year residents of the state will receive a credit up to $350.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue is also opening its state individual income tax filing season.
