Work on a development agreement with Epitome Energy will soon be getting underway. The company announced plans last week to bring a $400 million dollar soybean crushing plant to Grand Forks.
The city council last night (Monday) gave preliminary approval authorizing staff to craft the document. City Administrator Todd Feland says the legal language will likely mirror that of the proposed Fufeng corn milling plant with a focus on water…wastewater…annexation…and transportation.
Feland says they will also address tax incentives to make the deal happen.
When completed the plant is expected to employ 50 to 60 full-time workers. Epitome is hoping to break ground in the summer of 2023.
