ND COVID & flu numbers climb

Grand Forks County has surpassed the 26,000 mark for COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. Health officials confirmed 104 new cases for the week ending December 9th.

At the same time 57.5% of the public has completed the primary vaccination series – and over 14% have rolled up their sleeves for a booster.

Flu cases are also inching up across the state. There were 862 confirmed cases of influenza last week. The season total now tops 19-hundred. Sixty-four people have been hospitalized. There has been one death.
