Hoeven presents US flag to honored Larimore school

Sen. John Hoeven was in Larimore (ND) today (Mon), presenting the elementary school with a U.S. flag that flew over the U.S. Capitol…in honor of Larimore being designated as a 2022 National Blue Ribbon school.

Larimore Elementary, along with Linton Public School and Bismarck’s Roosevelt Elementary School were the North Dakota schools honored with the designation.

The Blue Ribbon School award goes to public and private schools across the U-S that display overall academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps. 

Forty-eight North Dakota schools have earned the Blue Ribbon honor since the program’s inception.  Five have been honored twice including Belmont/Phoenix Elementary in Grand Forks (1992 and 2005).
