The Grand Forks School District has a new Director of Buildings and Grounds.
The school board last night (Monday) agreed to hire Darin Johnson to replace Chris Arnold who left for a job with Altru Health.
Johnson is currently a detective with the Grand Forks Police Department. He also has held a Master Electrician License since 1998.
Superintendent Terry Brenner says two of seven external candidates were invited to a second round of interviews. “Mr. Johnson emerged as the candidate of choice with his strong team building skills and organizational abilities.”
Johnson has been with the GFPD since 2004. He holds a degree from the University of North Dakota. The appointment is effective August 29th at a salary of $99,514 dollars.
