ND November ballot to include recreational marijuana question

By Pat Sweeney Aug 15, 2022 | 12:45 PM

The question of legalizing recreational marijuana will be on the North Dakota ballot on November 8th .

North Dakota Secretary of State Al Jaeger announced today (Mon) that 26,048 petition signatures were submitted by the sponsoring committee, “New Approach North Dakota,” and 23,368 of them were accepted as valid.

That’s nearly 7,800 more than the 15,582 qualified signatures necessary to put the measure on the ballot.

The  initiative would allow people 21 and older to legally use marijuana at home as well as possess and cultivate restricted amounts of cannabis. Public consumption of marijuana would not be  allowed under the proposed provision.
