GFPH: Monkeypox vaccine eligibility expanded

Eligibility for Monkeypox vaccine has been expanded to include any individuals who identify as gay, bisexual, cisgender men who have sex with men, or those persons who identify as transgender. Vaccination of close contacts to cases will also continue to be prioritized. Grand Forks Public Health (GFPH) offers the JYNNEOS vaccine for the prevention of Monkeypox virus.

Interested individuals that meet the criteria above, please call GFPH at 701.787.8100 to make an appointment.

JYNNEOS (also known as Imvamune or Imvanex) is licensed (or approved) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the prevention of Monkeypox virus infection. It is a two-dose series, and each person receiving their first dose at GFPH will have their second reserved for them to complete their vaccination series.
