MN pharmacist charged with stealing drugs

By Doug Barrett Jul 22, 2022 | 7:24 AM

A Minnesota woman accused of watering down morphine bottles while working as a pharmacist pleaded guilty this week to adulterating prescription pain meds.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says 42-year old Jennifer Draheim siphoned a quantity of the morphine for her personal use. She added water to the bottle reducing the drug’s quality and strength.

Authorities say Draheim’s actions put her life in danger and also affected those who were in need of morphine but instead received a tainted, watered-down medication.

A sentencing hearing will be scheduled at a later date.
