WF man arrested for attempted murder in GF (Update)

Update 3:00 PM Monday:

A 19-year old West Fargo man accused of shooting and wounding a person during an altercation in Grand Forks made his first court appearance this (Mon) afternoon.

Omar Deronjic was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and terrorizing.

Police say officers received a report of a suspect with a handgun on the 3600 block of Landeco Lane about 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

The person who was shot was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Deronjic was arrested after witnesses gave police a description of the car he was driving.

The charges include three counts of terrorizing and one count of attempted murder.

(A preliminary hearing is scheduled Aug. 15th.)

On July 8th at approximately 2030 hours officers from the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to the area of the 3600 Block of Landeco Lane for a disturbance involving several people. Witnesses reported that an involved male suspect was displaying a handgun.

 

Responding officers received a report that one person had been shot. Responding officers located a victim with a gunshot wound. They rendered aid on scene and the victim was transported to Altru hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

While this was occurring officers were able to locate a suspect vehicle based on witness descriptions.

 

Officers arrested 19 year old Omar Deronjic of West Fargo, ND. Deronjic was charged with three counts of terrorizing and one count of attempted murder.

 

The Grand Forks Police Department was assisted by Altru Ambulance.
