Primary Election Day has arrived across North Dakota. Plenty of Grand Forks voters cast ballots prior to today (Tuesday). At last count around 600 absentee ballots were mailed back to the county courthouse. In addition just shy of 14-hundred people participated in last week’s early voting.
Races to be decided include legislative seats…three Grand Forks city council seats…county races…park board…and sorting through 23 candidates hoping to land a spot on the school board.
During the June 2020 election 14,188 votes were cast in Grand Forks County. In 2018 the tally was just shy of 9,000.
Polls are open until 7:00 p.m.
