The North Dakota Board of Higher Education will be asked in the coming months to review eleven proposed capital projects to be forwarded to the Governor and Legislative assembly for possible funding.
A 2023-2025 draft document was presented to the Budget and Finance Committee on Thursday. The projects represent the number one priority for each of the eleven institutions.
UND is eyeing the decommissioning of the Hyslop Sports Center and repurposing the site into a science…engineering…and national security corridor. The move requests $8.8 million in general fund dollars and $2.2 million in other funding.
The eleven projects combined total over $202 million dollars in state support.
The committee did not take any formal action on the requests this week.

MaSU 1 Old Main Renovation $39,649,100 $39,649,100 Major renovation of existing building/infrastructure. Does not increase institution overall footprint.
MiSU 1 Dakota Residence Hall Demolition $725,000 $725,000 Demolition of existing building. Reduces institution overall footprint.
