CAT and UND eye 5 year deal

By Doug Barrett May 10, 2022 | 8:43 AM

Grand Forks transit officials are eyeing a five year deal with UND to provide bus service on campus. Cities Area Transit has been providing the public transportation for the past year and are now looking to put the service into a formal agreement.

Under the plan CAT would charge UND Student Government $0.75 per one-way ride for students with an ID vs the full adult fare of $1.50. The city will charge UND $1.30 for faculty and staff who ride the bus with an ID. Dial-A-Ride services will also be available at a charged rate of $3 per ride.

The council is expected to formally adopt the contract next Monday.
