GF sets weather records in April

This won’t come as a shock. April was a cold and wet month.
According to the National Weather Service the 16.1 inches of snow and 6.49 inches of total precipitation was a new record for the Grand Forks office – 5.51 inches above the norm. It was also the 7th coldest on record with an average temp of 33.7 degrees – or 9.3 below average.
The 6-10 and 8-14 day outlook calls for temps to trend average to slightly above average. Precipitation is also expected to trend a bit above normal.
