
Authorities say a Grand Forks man has been arrested and preliminarily charged with the attempted murder of his roommate.
According to Grand Forks Police, 29-year-old Joshua Franklin was arrested today (Fri) in connection with an alleged stabbing incident last Saturday (March 26).
At about 8:00 AM on March 26th, officers were sent to a residence in the 1700 block of Cottonwood Street after a 9-1-1 caller reported a male victim suffering from a laceration to his neck.
Officers located a male victim in the residence with an injury later determined to have been caused by a knife.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Altru for treatment. Police say a second man — identified as Franklin, the victim’s roommate — was in the residence at the time of the preliminary investigation.
After further investigation, Franklin was arrested today (Fri).
Formal charges and any potential additional charges stemming from the investigation will be determined after review by the Grand Forks County States Attorney’s Office.
