GF School Board to hold special meeting

By Doug Barrett Apr 1, 2022 | 9:23 AM

The Grand Forks School Board will hold a special meeting on Monday to discuss a possible referendum date regarding a new Valley Middle School project. The board will review feedback obtained during this week’s public forum.
In a staff report Superintendent Terry Brenner says ballot language for a June referendum needs to be submitted to the Grand Forks County auditor’s office by April 11th. Brenner says a June date makes it difficult to market…message…and scale up a drawing of a 6-8 middle school.
It’s estimated the new Valley build – and Child Nutrition facility – could cost $55 million dollars.
