A Minneapolis man has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison for engaging in abusive sexual contact on an airplane.
Court documents say in 2019, 41-year-old Neeraj Chopra was seated next to a 16-year-old on a Jet Blue fight from Boston to the Twin Cities.
Chopra draped a blanket over his lap, with part of the blanket covering the victim’s right leg. Chopra put his hand under the blanket and began inappropriately touching the victim.
Chopra ignored the victim’s requests to stop.
Chopra was convicted last July after a three-day trial.
