The Grand Forks School Board formally adopted a Guiding Change Document this week that’s been in the works for months to help shape future budget decisions.
The bullet points include such things as:
– Fund a long-term facilities plan that increases efficiencies…
– Optimizing staffing levels to student needs
– Providing a competitive compensation package to attract and retain qualified staff…
– Achieve a general fund balance of 15-percent…
– Replace Valley Middle School on its current site….
– And increase student achievement for all….
Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education Catherine Gillach says the document will serve as a roadmap for the district in the coming months.
The board spent four two-hour work sessions between October and January crafting the plan.
