Grand Forks police are investigating an early morning shooting incident.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 2:00 a.m. to the area of 1215 North 39th Street for the sound of gunfire outside the building. No suspects or victims were located.
During a search of the area officers located several shell casings outside the apartment complex 1111 North 39th Street. The GFPD says at this time it is believed there is no immediate danger to the public.
The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Office and the University of North Dakota Police Department assisted during this incident. This is an open and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Grand Forks Police Department
