The Polk County (MN) Sheriff’s Office has announced that no travel is advised on the Highway 2 corridor or County Roads from East Grand Forks to Mentor due to high winds and blowing snow.
There is little to no visibility in open areas. And with approaching snow, the conditions will continue to deteriorate throughout the day.
Motorists are advised to stay home if you can.
If you must travel, use extreme caution.

Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
