The University of North Dakota will tweak a popular COVID-19 testing incentive program.
UND has been offering students a $10 dollar food voucher for use at any on-campus dining location for each day tested. Starting this month students will be limited to three vouchers per week.
UND launched the program during the 2020-21 school year in an effort to boost low testing numbers – often seen as a key mitigation effort.
Through December 31st over 20,000 vouchers have been distributed. UND officials say not all vouchers have been redeemed.
The program is funded with Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund dollars established by the CARES ACT.
