
A two vehicle crash near the U.S. Border Patrol Station west of Grand Forks on Sunday left three people injured – two with serious injuries.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol 76-year old Dennis Neiss of Grand Forks was heading south on 17th Street Northeast. After stopping for the sign he entered Highway 2 where the vehicle was hit by a west bound pickup driven by 55-year old Monty Cofell of Gilby (ND). The T-bone style accident was reported around 4:15 p.m.
Neiss and a 69-year old passenger were transported to Altru Hospital with severe injuries. Cofell suffered minor injuries from the crash.
