Gas prices are on the rise, and experts say, with the Thanksgiving holiday on the way, prices will remain high. The national average of gas is three dollars and 41 cents per gallon.
Experts warn prices could continue to rise, especially with Thanksgiving ahead. The AAA expects more than 53 million people will be traveling for the holiday, and 90 percent of them will be driving. That’s more than 48 million people on the road.
Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey says spiking ethanol costs prevented a drop in gas prices. The average price at the pump is $1.31 higher than it was one year ago.
According to the latest AAA Fuel Survey the going rate in North Dakota is just under $3.20 a gallon – a penny higher than a month ago. Minnesota sits at $3.17.
