GF CIA supporters inch closer to goal

Supporters of a Career Impact Academy for Grand Forks have update the drive to raise $10 million dollars for the project.

Another $945,000 dollars was secured this week pushing the tally to date to over $7.5 million dollars.  The CIA steering committee says another $1.3 million in verbal commitments has been secured pushing the total to $8.8 million.

The deadline to apply for state matching funding is December 1st.

Once operational, the Career Impact Academy will offer career programming to both high school and adult learners.  The Academy would be located on land near Gateway and I-29.
