Final fall enrollment numbers for the Grand Forks School District shows 7,404 students hitting the books K-12.
Enrollment is up 132 from last May – but down nine from September 2020. It’s also up 46 students from the opening week of school.
The staff report delivered to school board members Monday night shows the enrollment drop was most prevalent in the middle school setting.
The current 9th grade class is the largest in the district with 605 students. By comparison there are just 496 third graders.
The district demographer was projecting a headcount that topped 75-hundred.
