North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum spent a good portion of today looking over recent changes to downtown Grand Forks. Those range from a supermarket and restaurants to housing…street upgrades…and decorative lighting. Burgum says each new amenity adds to the value of the city. He says it shows Grand Forks is on the move and headed in the right direction.
One of the last stops was a groundbreaking for the Beacon by EPIC project at the site of the former Townhouse Motel. When completed the series of apartment and condos will feature 50,000 square feet of plaza space. The estimated value of the completed project has been pegged at some $50 million dollars.
