The National Park Service has awarded seven grants totaling $1.35 million dollars to state and local recreational projects in North Dakota.  The Grand Forks Park District will receive $215,595 to help replace the infield turf at the Montgomery Field in the Apollo Sports Complex.  The total project cost is estimated at over $1.5 million dollars.

In making the announcement U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer says the grant targets “improving playgrounds and expanding parks all across North Dakota.”
