
A joint statement by various state health organizations urges North Dakotans to take the jab. Covid-19 caseloads continue to climb fueled by the Delta variant.
The North Dakota Medical Association…North Dakota Hospital Association…North Dakota Long Term Care Association…and North Dakota Nurses Association have come out in support of vaccination calling it the safer approach compared to the risks of contracting the disease.
NDSU Infectious Disease specialist Dr. Paul Carson says the data gets stronger every day. “Long COVID is a real issue and a real problem.”
Vaccination rates continue to be higher in the Red River Valley than in the western part of North Dakota. For example in Nelson County over 71% of residents 18 and older have completed their vaccination series. In Slope County the rate is less than 12%.
