The North Dakota Board of Higher Education will enlist the services of a search committee to help the next president of the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton.
During a special meeting this week (Thursday) the board also named member Jeffrey Volk to sit on the search committee.
Current President Dr. John Richman plans to retire effective December 17th of 2021.
Chancellor Mark Hagerott says they will likely name an interim president at a future date – perhaps in October.
The cost of the search – including consultant fees and committee expenses – is estimated at between $80,000 and $100,000 dollars.
