NWS: July 2021….hot & dry

The month of July was warmer and much drier than average in Grand Forks.

The average temperature at the NWS office was 74.5 degrees – or 4.7 degrees warmer than normal.   It turned out to be the 6th warmest July on record.

The 0.56 inches of precipitation during the month was 2.61 inches below normal. The lack of rain made it the 3rd driest July on record.

Records at the Grand Forks Airport put July as the third warmest and driest on record.
