GFFD responds to early morning fire call

A pile of oil soaked rags being blamed on a fire at the Bubble Laundry Company this morning.

The Grand Forks Fire Department responded to 1401 12th Avenue South just after 5:00 a.m.  When crews arrived they found smoke in the building and occupants of upstairs apartment units exiting the building.

Crews quickly extinguished a small fire in the laundry facility.  Damage was pegged at around $10,000 dollars.  Residents were allowed to return to their units by 6:30 a.m. – and the business was reopened.  There were no injuries.
