FOR SALE: The downtown Corporate Center II building. The Grand Forks council – operating as the JDA – authorized a public auction of the city-owned building last night (Monday).
Under the plan the council will accept bids on the property at 402 DeMers Avenue. City Attorney Dan Gaustad says the JDA has the right to accept…or reject…all bids.
The public sale does not include the Corporate Center I building.

No changes would take place in the current recycling program in Grand Forks under action by the city council last night (Monday). Members approved moving forward with a five year contract with Waste Management.
Under the plan residential service rates would remain the same at $3.35 a month. Multi-family…small business…and drop-off rates would fall slightly.
Grand Forks has had a curbside residential recycling program in place since 1990 with a goal of diverting 40% of materials from the local landfill.
