
Authorities say a Bemidji man is in custody after the fatal assault of a Bloomington (MN) man in Beltrami County.
At about 2:00 AM last Friday, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s office got a report of an assault at a residence in Puposky (MN), north of Bemidji.
Upon arrival, authorities learned that 53-year-old Burgess Palmore died of “homicidal violence,” according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
Deputies arrested 21-year-old Scott Schulman at the scene.
Schulman is being held in the Beltrami County Jail on unrelated criminal charges, pending arraignment in Beltrami County District Court.
An autopsy by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office reported the manner of death as homicide, according to the sheriff’s office.
