The State Board of Higher Education’s Budget and Finance Committee has unanimously approved a transfer of $2.25 million from the University System to UND.
The money will help UND complete construction of Nistler Hall, the new home of the College of Business and Public Administration. The $70 million building will replace Gamble Hall.
UND met the matching requirements to access the University System’s Tier-3 capital building funds … so the University System will move that amount to UND’s capital building fund.
The Tier-3 fund pool requires two dollars in matching funds for each one dollar from the pool.
$4.5 million in gift funding from UND’s Alumni Association will be used to meet the match requirements.
UND officials expect Nistler Hall to be completed by August 2022.
The full Board must still approve the decision.
