(KNOX) – North Dakota Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak has been re-elected to a second term, as she defeated Democrat Trygve Hammer and Independent candidates Charles Tuttle and Helene Neville. Fedorchak received 57.32 percent of the vote, and defeated Hammer by over 20 percentage points. Both Tuttle and Neville each received less than five percent. Fedorchak says in her victory speech that she won because North Dakota citizens want conservative values.
Fedorchak defeated Hammer in 2024 and two years ago became the first Congresswoman to represent North Dakota U.S. House of Representatives. She was re-elected, but Democrats won both the U.S. House and Senate in yesterday’s midterm elections.
