(KNOX) – The United States Department of Health and Human Services is awarding several North Dakota entities more than a total of $1.2 million.
U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer’s office announced in a press release that the grants will “support opioid response, youth outreach, economic advancement, aging issues and veterinary research.”
The total amount of grant money provided is $1,228,959.
The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa will get $468,879 for its EAGLE (Economic Advancement Grants for Local Empowerment) Program.
Quality Health Assistance of North Dakota will receive $300,000 for the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program.
$215,343 will go to the University of North Dakota for the National Resource Center on Native American Aging.
Mountain Plains Youth Service Inc. will get $200,000 for street outreach.
North Dakota State University will be given $44,719 for veterinary food and drug research.
