(KNOX) –A 56-year-old Walhalla man is facing seven total charges when he led police on a chase in Pembina County last Tuesday.
Deputies eventually caught up to and searched a vehicle driven by Chad Lee. Lee is facing three felony and four misdemeanor charges, as deputies found over $14,000, drug supplies and meth.
A person reported to law enforcement that they almost got hit by an SUV. A deputy reportedly saw Lee driving the SUV, and Lee had three passengers with him.
Lee is accused of driving recklessly and then fleeing law enforcement when they tried to pull him over.
The passengers in the SUV apparently said they wanted Lee to stop and not drive away.One passenger told deputies that Lee and another passenger threw meth out of the window when they were fleeing.
Lee could also face charges for having drugs, tampering with evidence, as well as hindering and fleeing law enforcement.
